Show Your Support For Local Law Enforcement – Here’s How
I designed this “I’ve Got Your 6” sticker because of a great demand by honest, hard working patriots for a way to show their support for local law enforcement professionals who suddenly were under attack – seemingly as a result of provocation from the Obama administration itself and funded by George Soros.
This sticker is not the first one ever devised…
Yet the previous ones we’d seen did not attempt to include the County Sheriff’s Office Deputies who in many cases are the #1 defense against the encroachment of our liberty. And since I personally have a Deputy Sheriff in my family I wanted our “I’ve Got Your 6” sticker to be inclusive of those who ‘wear brown but still bleed blue’.
So What Does “I’ve Got Your 6” Mean?
The reference to the face of a clock to represent the relative location of a threat goes back at least 100 years; with 12 o’clock being that which is in front of you, 3 o’clock to the right, 9 o’clock to the left and 6 o’clock being your back. So another way of saying “I’ve Got Your 6” would be “I’ve Got Your Back”.
The military (all branches) have used this terminology and it became a popular term for pilots to “Check Six” meaning to ALWAYS be checking behind you!
Since so many in law enforcement have a military background or at least an interest, and since police work is increasingly as dangerous as urban combat, it should be no surprise that the phrase “I’ve Got Your Six (6)” should find its way into the vernacular of Police Departments and Sheriff’s Offices.
How Can I Have A Cop’s “6”?
There are many ways you can “have their six” when it comes to law enforcement. Here are several ways ANYONE, ANY AGE can show your support:
- Simply display Blue Line materials. We get messages all the time from Law Enforcement Officers (LEO’s) saying how much they APPRECIATE knowing they have the communities support. They don’t (usually) hear it from the media and just like with our troops overseas, morale is critical when these folks hit the streets and put their lives on the line.
- Support local law enforcement fund raisers and activities if your community has them.
- Buy a cop’s lunch when you see them at a restaurant.
- If you work at a restaurant, make sure none of your co-workers tampers with an officers food because they hate police.
- Look out for an officer and warn him/her if it appears someone is approaching them intending harm. (see pic below)
Please notice that none of these suggestions requires a weapon, physical strength or special skill!
If you find yourself in the rare position…
Some folks have taken a more active approach to “Got Your 6”
- Last summer 2 unarmed civilians helped a Dallas-Ft. Worth area detective tackle a suspect who was resisting arrest
- A Lee County, FL Deputy was being attacked along the highway in November 2016 – a passing concealed carrying motorist shot and killed the attacker
- Just a few days ago, in February 2017, a 56-year-old Louisiana woman came to the rescue of a cop being beaten on the side of a road by leaping on the back of his assailant, keep his hand off the officer’s gun and continue to attack until the officer was able to overcome the attacker
- In another recent story an Arlington, TX police officer was trying not to shoot a muslim ISIS sympathizer with his firearm and ended up having to taser the suspect THREE times and received help from two unarmed civilians to get the suspect restrained into handcuffs (see photo above)
These stories are happening more and more frequently. Our Law Enforcement Officers are increasingly under attack by scum of the earth people often whipped into a cop hating frenzy by well funded extreme left organizations.
“Deplorables”, rednecks, and just “average Joe & Jane” are also increasingly getting fed up.
Watch this video as two citizens – a little bit late to the fight, but nevertheless with their heart in the right place – assist a police officer being beaten in the middle of the road:
Notice What “I’ve Got Your 6” Does NOT Mean
The internet is what it is. Trolls hide anonymously behind their keyboard and get nasty. You may have heard the expression:
haters gonna hate
In the position we are in, a person has to learn to have thick skin and ignore the haters.
Here are some of the comments we see occasionally on our ad posts for this sticker:
- “I don’t want to let people know I’m armed”
- “I’m in California and can’t be armed, no way I can help”
- “I could never take down an attacker”
- “The cop will search you for a gun with that sticker”
- “The cop will give you a ticket anyway”
Putting this I’ve Got Your 6 sticker on your home or vehicle does not mean you are armed! It simply means that you support law enforcement in whatever way is appropriate for you…
LEO’s appreciate seeing the sign of support, we hear this all the time. We even have LEOs in our family and they love this sticker!
Is it a ‘get out of jail free’ card, like those Sheriff’s Association stickers you used to see on cars (which was insinuated by some if you bought it from the organization you would not get a ticket)? Most officers paid no attention to that sticker with regard to giving tickets I’m told.
We aren’t selling this sticker in hopes you can speed without getting a ticket!
We are offering this sticker to folks who care about law & order and want to show support for the people who put their life on the line to try to keep our communities safe.
Are there some bad cops out there? You bet. In the vast majority of our communities those bad apples are few and far between. Keep in mind that these officers are typically (but not always) underpaid and spend most of their time with the scum of the earth. It wears a person down. It can make a person critical of humanity.
Increasingly these officers get spit on – which triggers a potential 6 month medical monitoring regimen that can even prevent the officer from contact with young family members – and physically attacked like never before.
We simply want to show our support to boost their morale so they feel appreciated and …
– if the opportunity every presents itself –
we will take whatever action we are capable of to assist them and keep them safe so they can go home at night to their families too.
Does Any Of This Money Go To Police Charities?
Occasionally we get asked how much of the sticker price goes to Police Charities. We have the sticker priced at a discount to what stickers of this quality typically go for online. We designed this sticker and put them in our store because we want them in the community.
And with the excruciating costs of Facebook advertising we actually are not able to make a profit at these prices after paying for the product, professional fulfillment services, large sized cardboard mailer with postage and customer service.
So while no set amount per sticker goes to Police causes, we do contribute as much as possible to registered 501 (c) 3 charities for Police families such as this one.
In Summary…
If what you have read above resonates with you then I invite you to check out the various Blue Line, “I’ve Got Your 6” merchandise we have and show your support for your local Police Officers and Sheriff’s Deputies.
Should you hate police or just choose to ignore these ‘local heroes’, that’s your decision. Just think about that next time you dial 911.

USAF Wife says
I support law enforcement in every way I can. I would love to find a sticker with a similar design that also includes supporting our military, as my husband is in the military (active duty USAF/Tech Sgt/Combat Arms Instructor/Crisis Negotiator) and a LEO.
