The Second Amendment *May* Be Safe For A Little While
Now that the election is behind us, it’s clear sailing, right? We return to ‘normal’?
Far from it, in my opinion…
The country is deeply divided and it’s not just one candidate over another; it’s more a clash of ideology, world view, – our very way of life.
Many are saying we need to tone down our rhetoric so we can heal our nation and work together, which sounds good on the surface… yet in truth, that’s just not going to happen quite so easily.
I know that not everyone reading this supported the winning candidate, and that’s Ok. Yet it’s naive to ignore the risks to our 2nd Amendment rights had the election gone the other way.
Now, riots and protests broke out on Wednesday because one side’s candidate did not win. Do you think there would have been riots and protests had the Presidency been handed to Hillary? Would Trump supporters be blocking roads and burning their own cities?
Have you ever noticed that when Republicans win big in an election the rhetoric is all about putting differences aside, compromise and working together; and many times some foolish Republican leaders have sold us out in the past in the name of (hoped for) harmony?
Yet when the Democrats win big all we hear is ‘screw you, we won, we have a mandate, we’re going to ram our agenda down your throat’…
Fellow Patriot, the not-so-tolerant liberals have been poisoning young brains in colleges all our lives, yet today we see that this poisoning is now happening even at the high school level. And at Yale, once a reputable top university, we have at least one instructor making mid term exams optional because so many students are emotionally distraught over their corrupt candidate’s loss.
Does that make you just want to puke?
It does me…
What is happening to our country and what is this garbage about a ‘safe space’?
It won’t be long and our enemies will begin to leverage this weakness to their advantage and to our demise…
You Have Two Choices
Which leaves you with basically two choices:
1) You can play the part of a gracious winner and try to make the other side feel more welcome under the new administration. Put your guns away, don’t offend your neighbor or co-worker, be willing to accept that a ‘moderate’ be appointed – for life – to the Supreme Court, and try not to make any liberals go crying to mommy.
– or –
2) You can join forces with those of us who are going to never relent in our fight to return our country to the values that made it great; INCLUDING the right to keep and bear arms.
President-Elect Trump is a bit of an unknown, I readily admit. During the campaign he has made some promises that sounded real good.
It’s up to THINKING AMERICANS like you and me to pay attention, keep the heat on, and insist he make good on those promises and not let flaming liberals who tried to squash him for almost a year – who are now suddenly reaching out to him like a long lost friend as if they are reasonable people – influence him with their deceit.
To Be Clear
I am not suggesting that we divide the country further or not try to heal it; but lets face it, some of these people are lying in wait to attack whenever they see a chink in the armor they think they can exploit to further their liberal agenda.
Despite Tuesday’s Republican wins, many states passed even more restrictive gun laws and only a fool would believe that the liberals are satisfied or that their goal is anything less thancomplete elimination of gun rights in their jurisdictions.
These anti-gunners are short sighted and will NOT be vigilant in protecting us from the most serious threats we face today like ISIS or Al-Qaeda, instead it is up to US. We need to shape the national dialogue in such a way as to protect ourselves from infiltration via refugees, illegal immigrants, etc.
They will never admit that the problem is with the PEOPLE, often the ones they stubbornly insist on importing, and NOT the GUNS.
Information Is Key
I chose to listen to InfoWars.com (Alex Jones) for election coverage and while I know he has a reputation for being a little over-the-top I was actually pleasantly surprised with the level of intelligence of his staff and guests and the restraint used to keep emotions in check.
We certainly cannot rely on ANY mainstream media outlet from here on out; they have proven that their only purpose is to advance the agenda of whoever is putting money in their pocket and will NOT be anything close to unbiased and informative.
You must continually be alert for accurate, honest news reporting so you can stay properly informed.
And I actually believe we have an obligation to at least attempt to inform others who are blissfully ignorant of what’s really going on when we have the opportunity of an open ear or captive audience.
Individual Choice
Now, each of us needs to make our own decision as to how we promote our love of firearms and the Second Amendment freedoms that are continuously under attack…
As for me, I choose to ‘wear it loud and wear it proud‘ with edgy T-Shirts like this (and yes, even a matching coffee mug), which may not be for everyone.
And we still have the stickers that were BANNED by the liberals at [censored] and [censored] ad departments (see those here & here) – sometimes I do post them [edit] for a short time.
I personally believe that God graciously has given our country another chance to set things right, and I pray he gives us the guidance to do the job that needs to be done. The hearts and minds of our children and grandchildren are the prize that the God-haters and freedom-haters are fighting over.
Anyone who doubted that before the election should have seen it clearly with the vile, lewd antics of the so called ‘entertainers’ Hillary’s machine employed to influence these young impressionable minds – and the reported results of how the young people voted.
My advice is to hold your head high as a proud winner and be cautious on any compromise; be vigilant at all times. I believe our future is bright if we band together and stick to the values that made our nation great to begin with.
In Closing
Remember the words of Alexis de Tocqueville from ‘Democracy In America’ (1830’s):
“America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.”
…on Tuesday, November 8th, 2016, I think we dodged a bullet…
My apologies for running long on this letter, thanks for reading to the end!
Best regards
